All work to support themselves.Īs a general policy all names are changed, although some women had no objection to use of their actual names.Īt the time of the interview (interviews took place between 19), Fannie Freed is 37. While there appears to be some difference in class background, no attempt here is made to establish what it exactly is. Dagmar, Romaine, Lulu and Ea are of English, German or other European descent.
